Limitations and Known Issues
Experiment, Sample, and Standard Name for Files to be Imported into BD FACSArray™ Software
BD FACSArray software cannot import experiments that contain any of the following characters in the experiment,
sample, or standard names: period, comma, forward slash, or back slash. Therefore, users creating an FCAP Array
experiment to direct acquisition on the BD FACSArray bioanalyzer, cannot use any of the restricted characters in
the experiment, sample, or standard names.
BD FACSArray Software BD CBA Flex Set Templates
To ensure that the P1 singlet gate is applied to the exported template file within BD FACSArray software, ensure all
setup control wells are acquired, close the Experiment, and then open it before saving it as a template.
Excluding a Standard Curve Point Using the File Assignment View
If you deselect the checkbox for a standard curve point in the File Assignment view, the software will be unable to fit
a standard curve for the experiment. For a standard curve to be generated during analysis, all standard curve points must
have at least one valid replicate. To remove a specific data point from all standard curves on an experiment, use the
Sample view to delete the standard sample, or return to the plex wizard and reduce the number of standard curve
points, excluding the one to be removed. For more information about this subject, refer to the FCAP Array Software
User’s Guide.
